Almirante Brown was the only landing that we made in Antarctica which was actually on the continent. When we landed it was snowing very hard, so I was only able to take two photographs, but the blizzard conditions made the lighting very interesting. When we departed we took an extended zodiak ride, and we encountered a large pod of Humpback and Minke whales. The whales stayed with us for a long time, and they got close enough so that we could see the markings on their backs -- what a thrilling experience.
