Cape Mendocino is the farthest point west in the continental United States. I never get tired of the beautiful road through Petrolia which leads to the cape. Often shrouded by fog, the Cape is difficult to photograph. The cape is also home to the intersection of three tectonic plates, and as such one of the most geologically active locations on the earth.
