Diasetsuzan National Park is the largest national park in Japan. Diasetsuzan translates to "Big Snow Mountain in english, and the description is accurate. Our walk through its famous gorge was one of the few times in my career that I ran out of film. The hot baths at the top of the hotel overlooking the mountains was an added treat.
