Devils Postpile National Monument is part of the San Joaquin River watershed in the Eastern Sierra. The area is services by an excellent bus service that originates at the Mammoth Ski Area parking lot. The National Monument contains interesting geology, waterfalls, and a wealth of hiking trails. If you get tired, just wait at one of the many bus stops for the next bus.
