Dick Smith Wilderness Area is located in the mountains behind Santa Barbara, California. The hiking trails course through a maze of canyons, peaks, and small streams. Dick Smith is named after a environmentalist/journalist who was responsible for saving this land. Dick Smith Wilderness Area is one of my favorite winter destinations.
