The Orion sailed through the Bransfield Straight past Penguin Island and finally to King George Island. The seas remained very rough so we were not able to make any landings on the islands. The display of lenticular cloud formations over King George Island gave it an other worldly appearance. The ink blue seas contrasting against the white sheets of ice on King George Island made for a spectacular tableau.
