The Neumayer Channel was one of the highlights of the trip to Antarctica. This very narrow channel is between Weinke, Doumer and Anvers Islands. The channel was filled with porpoising penguins and seals lounging on ice flows. The contrast of the black mountains against the dark blue sea and ice glaciers was spectacular. The channel had the feel of a very narrow hall way.
