Sobrante Ridge is a regional park located in the suburbs east of San Francisco. The park is famous because it contains the endangered Alameda Manzanita. With our obvious love for the manzanita, this small regional park is a favorite. The manzanitas bloom in January, and the berries are ripe in September. The distinctive trunks of this endangered species become very large for this species. This park is a great location for a spring picnic.
