Superstition Wilderness Area is located near Phoenix, Arizona. We spent two days hiking in this vast desert wilderness. One the first day we hiked in Peralta Canyon which is one of the busiest hiking trails in all of Arizona. The trail up through the canyon is a challenge, but the views of weaver's needle from the top of the canyon are worth the effort. Peralta Canyon was the home of Geronimo, and the number of caves in the canyon explain why he was so illusive. On the second day we hiked on the north side of the wilderness. We were rewarded by spectacular wildflower displays and lots of cougar tracks. This wilderness area in the spring is a fantastic adventure.
