Of all the wilderness areas that I have visited around the world Yellowstone remains my favorite. Yellowstone National Park is the oldest national park in the world. The unique and unusual geological features, combined with the varied geography of the park make this a wondrous place. In addition, the collection of North American mammals that can be seen in the park make this a very unique place. I have hike many of the trails in the park, but my list of trails to hike continues to grow. One could spend a life time exploring this magical place.
